In addition to the original most used automations, we have prepared five additional advanced automation scenarios (including templates):

Don't know how to set up and run automation using preset scenarios?

⚠️ WARNING: Scenarios that are triggered by trigger Purchased and Recurring, or check data from integrations such as orders, can only be run with the Marketer+ plan.

The scenarios also work with sending discount coupons, which we would recommend setting up as unique discount codes. See this guide for more information on working with this type of coupon.

First order feedback

only for Marketer+ / frequency several times

Get reviews on an order or item new customers bought from you.

After the 1st order, the automation sends an email asking for feedback. If the customer's rating is negative, the automation further responds by sending an email expressing regret and providing a discount on the next purchase.

⚡ Tips on setting up this automation and what to watch out for:

  • In the pre-set scenario, the 1st email template works with the add tag feature using *|ECM_ADDTAG_mytag|* hidden under the buttons. The pre-set tags are SATISFIED-UNSATISFIED. The names of these tags are of course up to you, just be sure to modify the conditions in the automation that control them.

  • If you want to send a questionnaire in which the contact can tell you more details about their satisfaction, create it using an external tool such as Google Forms. You don't need to add tags if you have a custom form.

  • The wait time before sending a feedback email always depends on the functioning of your e-shop

Automation triggered when a tag is added

An automated scenario is triggered when a tag is added to a contact.

This preset scenario illustrates a response to customer dissatisfaction by sending an email expressing regret and a discount on the next purchase (as a possible alternative to a negative response to the 1st order, see previous automation).

The label name and resulting response are then up to you and your intended scenario.

This scenario can also be used for any other tag and situation you might need.

⚡ Tips on setting up this automation and what to look out for:

  • The automaton is triggered the moment a tag is added to contact by another automaton or a special merge tag *|ECM_ADDTAG_mytag|*

  • In case you also use the preset scenario on Feedback on 1st order, remove the 2nd step of sending an email, so they don't duplicate each other.

Reward your VIP customers

only for Marketer+ / frequency several times

Strengthen the relationship with your loyal customers.

An automated email will be sent according to the conditions you set up, informing customers of their VIP status and giving them an exclusive reward.

⚡ Tips on setting up this automation and what to look out for:

  • Don't forget to adjust the VIP condition according to your own definition, whether it's the number of orders or the total amount of purchases.

  • The tag is added in the automation to ensure that a congratulatory email is not sent to the VIP customer every time a new order is placed. This label can then also be used for segmentation.

Reactivation for an e-shop

only for Marketer+

Automation checks your database daily and triggers a series of reactivation emails for all inactive contacts. With this campaign, you can get your inactive customers back.

⚡ Tips on setting up this automation and what to look out for:

  • Contacts can be labeled in this automation for use in segmentation such as Inactive / Reactivated.

  • The automation can also be ended by unsubscribing inactive contacts

  • The definition of inactivity depends on your own business and strategy setup - feel free to change the pre-made setup

Reactivate contacts inactive in campaigns

only for Marketer+

Reactivation for those who don't have an e-shop but want to work with an inactive audience. It will also help with sorting and possibly cleaning the database.

⚡ Tips on setting up this automation and what to look out for:

  • In the pre-set scenario, the email template works with the add tag (REACTIVATED) feature using *|ECM_ADDTAG_mytag|* hidden under the button. The name of the resulting label is, of course, up to you, just be sure to modify the following condition in the automation.

  • Contacts can be labeled in this automation for use in segmentation, such as Inactive/Reactivated.

  • The automation can be finished by unsubscribing inactive contacts.

  • The definition of inactivity depends on your own business and strategy setup - feel free to change the pre-made setup
