What does the plugin allow?

How to install the plugin?

  1. Installing our plugin is very easy. First, open the following link with the add-on >> here and click on "Add app".

2. You will be redirected to your Shopify account.

3. Scroll down and click on "Install app"

4. Create your Ecomail account or sign into your existing account.

5. You will be redirected to your Ecomail account. Congratulations, the integration is now fully functional 🎉 You can now Start with Ecomail.

Automatically, your contacts will be saved in a First list, which is created in your account by default. We recommend you to work in Ecomail within one contact list.

6. In case you need to connect a different contact list, go to Integrations > Active integrations > Shopify Connect. Here you can select which list will be connected to your Shopify.

Checking the first connection

If you want to make sure your data is synchronised, click on "Contacts" in the top menu and select the list you picked during the integration (eg. First list or Customers). In the contact list, you will find information on how many active contacts are in the list.

To check the customer's contact details, click on any email address -> Properties. You can see an overview of completed purchases in the Purchases section (purchases are transferred to Ecomail only after the add-on is activated). Contacts that are transferred to Ecomail through this add-on have the value "shopify" in the Source field. You can segment contacts according to this value.

Abandoned checkout event

Use abandoned checkout events in automation to remind your contacts about their abandoned cart items. Abandoned basket automation is one of the most efficient automations to increase your revenue and number of finished purchases.

⚠️ The event of adding product to the basket is sent from Shopify after the contact goes to checkout (in Shopify Checkout). Ecomail can only track abandoned checkout events from contacts who enter their email and confirm that they wish to receive newsletter. You can also find this event in Shopify - Abandoned checkout.
